Loop — Founded in 1961, Balani has been making clothes for Chicago’s well-to-do for nearly 50 years. You can find their showroom in the heart of the city’s business district. Peter Balani’s impressive career as a master tailor has spanned 50 years. Crediting his talent to having studied under master tailors in Saville Row and Milan, he now imparts this knowledge and experience to the team at Balani. Peter’s son, Sonny Balani, joined the company following a successful finance career. Bringing a new perspective on the custom clothing business, he designed the Balani showroom with clean, modern lines. Additionally constructing the trademarked “Fabric Bar” where clients could relax with a beverage while perusing fabrics, Sonny’s vision brings classic custom clothing to today’s generation.
