Cheena Chandra’s roots and career path portray an artist, jewelry designer and entrepreneur whose vision, sense of style and attention to detail will undoubtedly keep her in the forefront of American jewelry design.

All of the designer’s life experiences come together to create one of the most unique jewelry collections today. Born in India and raised in the United States, Cheena’s love affair with jewelry began as a child. As a precocious and inquisitive youngster, Cheena spent countless hours with her family jeweler to observe his master artistry and craftsmanship in creating her mother’s beautiful and ornate jewelry. Throughout her growing years, Cheena took on the role of designing jewelry for her mother and herself and eventually turned her gift of creating wearable art that caters to a diverse clientele into her life’s true passion.

After 10 years in the corporate world as a consultant, Cheena coupled her business savvy with her innate artistic talent to develop her namesake jewelry line. During one of her many life adventures traveling around the world, Cheena decided to pursue her interest and calling in designing jewelry in 2002. While visiting family in India, Cheena took a ride in a rickshaw through the small passageways of Jaipur to work with and learn from a highly regarded and exclusive stone supplier to hand select the gems for her whimsical designs. Influenced by her international upbringing and strong connection to her Indian heritage, Cheena concentrates on creating upscale, fine jewelry with a modern, feminine style that retains a sense of classic appeal and exotic flare.

Her most identifiable and signature pieces include multi-strand lariats, jeweled chandelier earrings, bold cocktail rings, handsome cuff links, and striking bangle bracelets. To ensure premier quality, Cheena continues to travel to Delhi and Jaipur to personally select every material and stone that is incorporated into her innovative jewelry designs. The designer of the eponymous line only works with the finest 18 karat gold embellished with the most exquisite diamonds and boldly colored semi-precious stones like tourmalines, blue topaz, and Iranian basra pearl. Every piece of jewelry is crafted into a striking yet soft shape with the finest hand-etching detail and then finished with the Cheena Chandra™ insignia.
