Biography

K Thammavong Couture Inc, doing business as Kevin Vong, is an up-and-coming new designer of women’s formal evening wear and gowns. Kevin’s specialties are dresses for the mother of the bride or groom as well as custom wedding dresses for the bride. Kevin Vong (short for Thammavong) is a President’s Honor Graduate of FIT, the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York. He was born in Laos and became a U.S. citizen in 1979. His dresses evoke the memories and elegance of the first postwar generations of couture from the 1940’s and 1950’s – think Marilyn Monroe or Katharine Hepburn and the classic movies of their era. These are elegantly simple flowing gowns of color and hand-stitched perfect fluting.
